Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies we use at https://www.promptcreek.com, why we use them, and how you control them.

In short: essential cookies always run. Analytics cookies start when you arrive and stop the moment you reject them from our banner, or immediately if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Rejecting is one click and takes effect straight away.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay for a set period. Some are set by us (first-party) and some by services we use (third-party).

2. Essential cookies

These make the site work — signing in, staying signed in, and remembering your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off, and they need no consent because the site cannot function without them.

Signing out clears your session cookie. You can also revoke individual sessions from your account settings.

3. Analytics cookies

These help us see which prompts people find useful and where the site confuses them. They begin when you open the site and continue unless you reject them. Rejecting takes effect immediately, in the page you are already on: we switch both tools off, stop loading them, and delete the cookies they set on our domain. The three cookies Microsoft sets on its own domain (MUID, ANONCHK, SM) are outside our reach — clear those from your browser settings if you want them gone.

MUID, ANONCHK, SMMicrosoftIdentifies unique browsers across Microsoft propertiesUp to 1 year

Microsoft Clarity records how you move through pages — clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement. It runs with Clarity's default masking, which hides the text you type into form fields.

4. Interface preferences

One further cookie, sidebar_state, remembers whether a navigation sidebar was expanded or collapsed. It lasts 7 days, is set only inside our staff administration area, and is never set for ordinary visitors. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie — it never reaches our servers and is not shared with anyone.

5. Cookies set elsewhere

When you go to Stripe to pay, Stripe sets its own cookies on its own checkout domain for fraud prevention and session management. Those are governed by Stripe's privacy policy, not this one. The same applies when you follow an "Open in" link to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI service — once you are on their site, their cookie policy applies.

6. Managing your choices

Our banner

On your first visit a banner offers Accept all, Reject all, and a per-category choice. Both options are one click and rejecting is never harder than accepting. To change your mind later, click Manage Cookies in the footer of any page. Your choice is remembered for a year, after which we ask again.

Your browser

Browsers can block or delete cookies from their privacy settings. Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in. We also honour a Global Privacy Control signal as a rejection of non-essential cookies where your browser sends one.

7. What you lose by refusing

  • Essential: cannot be refused within the site — without them you cannot sign in.
  • Analytics: no effect on you. We simply see less about how the site is used.

No feature is withheld because you refused optional cookies, and prices do not change.

8. Changes

If we add or change a cookie in a way that affects your choices, we will update this page and show the consent banner again so you can review your preferences.

9. Contact
